My New Obsession...

Now...look at that gorgeous sky...really, could there be anything wrong with this world??? Neeeewwwww...(that's my Sweetie's and my fancy way of saying "no"). I can think of 20 awesome things that I would like my "new obsession" to be...but guess what it is...

Food.

Yeppers...the kids and I watched Food Inc. for science on Tuesday...game changer. Then I proceeded to watch Fast Food Nation on Wednesday in my own time (Rated R)...needless to say, I can't look at food the same again...ever. Losing sleep over ways to make changes in our eating habits. And, we don't even eat fast food! We always eat home cooked meals. So, I came up with 3 goals after the viewings...here they are:

1. I want to make homemade everything (bread, pizza, ice cream, granola, kids snacks etc.)
2. I want to buy free range chicken/eggs and grass fed beef (Lakewinds has both)
3. Would love to go Vegetarian 2 days/week. (mostly to save money on the meat!)

I still need to chat with my HSSweetie on these goals/changes...and what fabulous timing! Sweetie and I are heading out for a little couples time this weekend!!! We are spending the weekend in Minneapolis and attending the Weekend to Remember marriage getaway. I absolutely can't wait!!! A mini weekend away from home/kids...ahhhhh. Just what I need. We didn't plan a winter trip this year b/c we are putting extra dollars into our basement finishing project.

Now...my sister-in-law told me that grass fed beef has a "different" taste to it. That frightens me. Has anyone else tried it...what did/do you think? Makes me annoyed that we've become accustomed to "crumby meat". That the "good stuff" would actually take some time to get used to. That's not right. I'll keep you posted on my progress!

I've been trying to think of what to do for March's Tiffy's Top Ten...I have a couple of ideas, but nothing I'm too excited about. I know what I'm sharing for April. If you have any ideas for March...let me know!

Lastly...the slipcovers are finished! Oh, they are cutesy! I'll share pics next Wednesday! I'll also be sharing a couple of favorite St Patty's Day recipes! Have a fabulous weekend!!!

XOXO Tiffany
